I have five years counselling experience in a variety of areas and have completed most competencies in my Supervised Practice (4 + 2) program for registration with AHPRA. I am proficient in both academic and hands on knowledge of psychological practice with a strong history of community-based psychology and working with youth, women, aboriginal and individuals marginalised or disempowered in society. I have a strong work ethic combined with a lifelong love of learning. I have acted in the capacity of team leader and management roles in the mining industry; post-graduate student and associate lecturer in academia and counsellor, support worker, youth work, resource management, intern psychologist and consultant within the community services industry. I have worked as a sole trader, employee, volunteer for private and non-government agencies as well as higher education and the government. I have a diverse knowledge of workplace policies and procedures, working with diverse clients and working in challenging and high pressure roles. I am passionate about community psychology and srengths-based approaches which achieve positive outcomes for all.
