Duties:
- Estimates, prepares and assigns the resources such as manpower, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all civil works prior to execution.
- acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;
- setting out, levelling and surveying the site;
- checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
- overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
- agreeing a price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project;
- managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
- liaising with any consultants,site engineers ,subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
- liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
- day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors;
- planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
- overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
- preparing reports as required;
- resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

Technical Support Engineer
Duties:
- Prepares and approves designs for Public Services/Engineering projects in accordance with general engineering principals.
- determines scope,designs, prepares drawings, specifications, bidding documents, contracts, and cost, conducts and coordinates design and construction surveying,provides construction staking; serves as Project Engineer on Public Services/Engineering.
- Supervises, trains, and evaluates Civil Engineers staff; assists in hiring, evaluating, and disciplining employees.
- Conducts construction inspections, reviews and approves contractor pay requests; reviews, and processes construction change orders.
- Prepares legal descriptions, documents, and draft agreements of way acquisitions; meets with property owners to discuss right of way purchases for roadway projects.
- Provides design data for surveying, and engineering applications using Computer-Aided, Drafting (CAD), surveys, engineering drawings, and special database reports for Public Services Department.

Site Engineer.
- Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.
- Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the civil work groups at site.
- Plans the execution of all civil related works and coordinates the works to electrical and mechanical groups.
- Monitors the actual physical works at site.
- Coordinates with Client / Consultant’s representatives for any site instructions and inspection of works.
- Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all civil groups at site.
- Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.
- Supports the Project Engineer in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the civil groups at site.
- Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.
- Ensures that all site works are done according to all applicable quality standards.
- Directly responsible for the safety of all civil groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.
- Performs other related duties as may be required by the Project Engineer.
